2016 Booragul Sale Report

Our 2016 Sale day started out strong with the sun shining and record number of registrations. This year saw 59 bulls sold for an average of $7750 topping twice at $18,000. The first sale topping price was Lot 7 Booragul Emperor selling to Murranjai Pastoral Co. who also purchased Lot 9 for $16,000. The second bull to make $18,000 was Lot 25 Booragul WT458N K11 whom had been used in the stud at Booragul and will continue stud duties at his new home of Glatz Black Angus Sth Australia.

Very sincere thanks to Ben Glatz for travelling so far to support our sale. A highlight of the sale was the strong seed stock enquiry.  Other successful studs operating on the day was Ireland Angus purchasing Lot 10 Booragul Docklands K92 for $12,000 and KSX Angus also purchasing two bulls to a top of $9,000. The White Family from Coffin Creek Angus were successful bidders for Booragul Emperor K131. Our long time regular supporters who have been following our program for a number of years showed great enthusiasm with their bidding on the day. Successful purchasers being Jim & Jane O’Brien securing 3 bulls for an average of $8666, Myall Springs bought 4 bulls averaging $7250, Grant Family Pastoral purchasing a total of 7 bulls for an average of $7357, Lochiel Pty Ltd bought 3 bulls for average $7000 and The Roworth Family buying 3 yearling bulls for an average of $5500.

2016 Sale Report

For the first time an offering of PTIC rising two year old commercial heifers were auctioned. These heifers created great interest topping at $2400 to average $2214, the majority of the heifers going to Southern Star Rural.

It is always our aim to offer high quality Angus bulls to meet our client’s demands and industry requirements so it was pleasing to hear the positive feedback and supportive comments of this year’s sale line up. We thank all purchasers and under bidders in making our sale a record success. The pleasing result of our 2016 sale was topped only by the rain that fell the following day!
